Lio Caesar:
Strictly speaking, the above pic shows the micro version of the Breast Force, while the below pic shows the mini version. Some people might argue that since the above has a blue background packing card, it should belong to the mini version. A yellow background packing card type will then be the micro size. OK, this scenario is quite common for most of the KOs in this type of packing... however in this case, it is not true. The size of the below picture is still a bit smaller than actual size, but quite close, nevertheless. Here, in this blog, I will classsify the above as mini, and below as .. well, normal.
Yeap, as in the earlier post, I mentioned I bought 2 sets of each... Mini one costs $7.90 each and normal one $10.90... So I got a mini Lio Caesar for $15.80, and a 'normal' Lio Caesar for $21.80... Ok, still within acceptable range for KO, especially its something so vintage and well designed...
Yes, by now you should have know why I bought 2 sets... Many have seen these sets before.. the Hellbat member of the Breast Force is replaced by a ... Doubledealer wannabe.... for both types... WTH, Breast Force is supposed to be made of 3 land and 3 air members, now so imbalance... worst is, the 'Doubledealer' is made too small for the mini version, and generally very very poor design that looks crap in robot mode, hell ,it can't even stand properly...
I bought the mini set first, in Toa Payoh Hub. In fact, I drove down from East area to Toa Payoh Hub again the next day after buying 1 set, just to buy a 2nd set to make a Hellbat.. So after some extremely frustrating meddling and cursing and swearing and sweating, mini Hellbat is born, and Lio Caesar is back with proper arms again.... hahaha... I must have wished very very very hard, after I saw and realised there is a box set of 'normal' sized Breast Force... For some time later (actually about 1/2 year plus) , just a few days before Chinese New Year his year, I was walking along the street shop, buying grocerys, and then I saw a new shop selling toys... a 1/2 shop, actually... there, it stood ........ Terrorcons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ......... Wait... oh, sorry, remember wrongly... oh, connected anyway...
So later, this shop starts to bring in more of the box 'giftset' type of KO transformers / non-transformer-series transformers, and soon, I just have to grab one Breast Force 'giftset'... Why one? Because I have a chapalang KO Gestalt of : Arms - Hellbat, Gaihawk; Legs & Body - Starsilver & Jetsilver respectively, from Brave series - Silverion... funny, eh, how the KO maker could have thought of such a merger.... and if you know Jetsilver well, it is actually a retool of the Leozack mould... But it is then I realised that the 'giftset' is a bit too small... Then next day go back and buy another 1... all the while thinking "No, I dun want to go thru' another round of making Hellbat again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" But I just can't tahan... so in the end.... I love it!!!!!!!!!!
Looks good right? So much better compared to the above original KOs with 'Doubledealer's.... Here's the individuals:
so which set that you would suggest? the box or the package ?
ReplyDeleteHi bro, again, sorry did not see this post.. usually did not go back to view my old posts unless doing some editing... I like both sets, so depends on ur preference... pros for Box set is its nearer to the original size; while for the package one, the nose of Leozack can be turned to make Lio Caesar look nicer!...
ReplyDeleteare these the ones that comes with the box? Mine is,but sure looks the same as yours here
ReplyDeleteHi bro Zhariff, yeap, the bigger ones are in box, smaller ones are carded. No matter which size, the "Doubledealer" is always 1 size smaller... Congrats to you, as a owner of 1 of the best old Japan TF combiner mold! =) My next Lio Kaiser is to bash the WST-sized KO Kabaya kit for this set (with "Doubledealer" ) to get a proper Hellbat... probably this December...
