Transformers Studio Series SS 86 G1 Gnaw Deluxe Class

Bought it at Toys R Us as cannot resist the robot humanoid form which looks like me... This is a very good figure, and a minor nitpick will be the robot head can be better hidden in shark mode.

Transformers Studio Series SS 86 G1 Wreck Gar ft. Go Better Upgrade Kit

Bought from Taobao as I couldn't find it during the past few local toy hunts, only to find this figure on sales in OG on the day of collection... Anyway, this is a very good figure, transformation is simple but not straight-forward as some places, e.g. the lever-system connecting the head to body, needs some figuring out to push the robot head all the way into the motorcycle head.  Also fitted the Go Better upgrade kit parts onto the figure and looks better, in my own opinion. Solid figure.

Mechanic Studio MS-21 Flame Walker a.k.a. G1 Transformers Hot Rod Legends

It seems Mechanic Studio has started to follow the footsteps of Hasbro to shrink down their figures, starting from their Wreck Gar, and now their Hot Rod... Below is the MS-21 Hot Rod compared to (left) NA Starscream and (right) NA Jazz...

A look at the past few Mechanic Studio figures...

And a group shot of my Hot Rods / Rodimus Primes which had the orange-red color scheme...

Mechanic Studio MS-29 Falcon a.k.a. G1 Transformers Springer Legends +

The car mode tail fins are designed with opposite directions in the cartoon, hence I use a small pin pusher to force out the pin a little before using a pair of pliers to slowly wedge and pull it out. Repeat for both sides.

Note that you have to swap the 2 pieces with one another when reversing the direction of the fin.

Trim off the hinge post to allow the fin to fit in the lower leg.

Fins looks good in all modes now...

Transformers Kingdom Deluxe Class TRACKS

Bought it because I cannot find Wreck Gar... And also OG has 20% discount... Anyway, this copy happens to be the "corrected" version where the leg panel pins are hammered in more fully, and the legs are more stable. I did still try to push in the pin a little more and also lengthen the tab. The 2 tail fins were swapped, but it still have the problem of popping out when transforming into car-jet mode. This is still quite a good TF, especially after the leg issue is resolved, though it still have its flaws similar to the Masterpiece version (visible hollow torso, "break-off" feet, etc).

Transformers Seacons G1 Predaking Undersized Micro Knockoff KO Multicolour

Bought it in a local toy shop at Bugis, costs SGD8. Very cute little figure, with lots of simplification from the original design. The combined mode Predaking is about the same height as the Studio Series '86 04 Voyager Class Hot Rod. A pity the wings are not able to swivel up to display for Predaking. Will probably do some modding.

Mechanic Studio MS-24 Recylers a.k.a. Legends G1 Transformers Wreck Gar

MFT Mech Fans Toys?? Doesn't matter... quite an expensive little figure, costs almost same price as a Deluxe figure locally... Good robot mode, but some pins are not well hammered in, causing a slightly looser joint, or such. Should be a common problem as they are also observed in other video reviews in Bilibili... Motorcycle mode is a little off from the cartoon version, but will do... Overall, a solid little figure...

KO Knockoff Bootleg Tigatron 1996 Deluxe Class Transformers Beast Wars

The toy costs SGD 5.29 , but the shipping and tax cost SGD 12.97... wow... ezBuy did not repack, that's why... anyway, SGD 19 for a antique mold transformers is ok for me... The materials used is not so good, but should be fine if you don't transform it in a rough manner... A lot of uncleaned sprues parts can poke and cuts the fingers, so I did trim off some critical ones before filming this video... Overall, a decent buy as I don't think I will get the Kingdom one nor the Encore one... Will probably give it a minor restoration before putting into display...

Mechanic Studio MS 27 POISON a.k.a. Transformers G1 Octane ( with Hip Flap Trim )

Tried to trim off the front hip flap of Octane but...

It did not work as hoped for...

Proceed to shave off more on the hip piece for more space to accommodate the flap...

Works much better now! Though, the leg hip joint will still need to be pulled down (automatically) when swing the leg up front. At elast now Octane can kick better...

Transformers Kingdom Galvatron ( after Shoulders Fix and Battle-Damage Paint Removal )

Decided to purchase this at OG Chinatown for SGD 99.90 instead of through agent at Taobao, which I probably will pay around $15 + - less... but considering the time delay, I purchased this when I saw it on the shelf.

Sadly, all the Galvatron figures on the shelf are the mis-assembled  version. Luckily the fix is not that difficult, but then, it will definitely be much easier for me if my hands are not injured. Took longer time and also have to improvise e.g. using 2 screwdrivers to act as opposite levers to force open while assembling back, etc. Surprisingly, the plastic material is quite quite flexible, like if this is the Titans Return Galvatron instead, its plastic will definitely snap and break when flexed this much. The shoulders aesthetics look so much better better and correct after the fix.

Also took some time to remove the battle-damage paints using those 70% mini alcohol swabs but some stains still remain, and also it seems the paint has "scratched" the plastic surface at some areas. Anyway, did my best already.  Also have to file a bit off in order to swing and keep his head in place properly...

Very nice TF, especially in robot mode, looks almost exactly like G1 cartoon Galvatron... The cannon mode however, still has room for improvements. Maybe I am just nitpicking, but I felt the robot arms can do better than just bend towards together to form the caterpillar treads connector, as it looks really "raw" and awkward. The back of the cannon stabilizer is not really similar to the G1 cartoon which had it coming from the mid-bottom f the cannon body and stretch out backwards... Tried my best to recreate with the toy's one angled, which I think looks much better than the g1 toy style homage version aka official transformation...  but I cannot complain on this as this is a Kingdom line figure, not Studio Series 86 line, so it can not be at any fault if it does not look like G1 cartoon. But is good enough for me anyway, and love the details... Eagerly anticipating Wreck Gar and Gnaw....

Transformers Kingdom Optimus Prime Core Class

Quite a nice mainline TF from Hasbro... The robot mode captures the Earthrise OP style quite well, but the truck mode's cabin looks a little too elongated from the front... It also needs some paint touch up (which I have since done after filming this video)... and probably filler for at least the smokestacks they are visible when look from front...

Just a few paint touch up or change of material's colour may actually make this good TF look even better !!!!

Transformers Kingdom Soundwave Core Class

Very nice mainline TF from Hasbro. It is more or less the G1 Soundwave at a "Legends" scale. Only nitpicks are the protruding feet in radio mode... And maybe also that the hip joints are a bit on the loose side... And sadly, Hot Soldiers Soundwave's Laserbeak is too large to fit into this version of Soundwave's chest. Very tempted to remove the red and silver paint on the shoulders...

Transformers Netflix Cheetor War for Cybertron Trilogy

I have absolutely no idea why I pick this up... but at least the cheetah mode looks slightly better than the Kingdom line version, without the blue colours...  As with many others, I broke the infamous tab after a few transformations, but it is really like what many said, the tab is not of much use... Very tempted to get 1 original Cheetor (KO) mold to play with... but perhaps better to save some money for Kingdom Galvatron...

Transformers Kingdom Vertebreak

Very cute little dinosaur skeleton, and it does not need to partsform to transform! A pity the colour is too dark, as many of the details are not visible in the dark colour tone.

Gunpla Gundam Model Kits

I used a fine whiteboard marker to paint/draw the panel lines etc and wipe off excess with a piece of tissue paper. Surprising, normal holding and handling will not rub off the temporary ink as the ink seeps into the trenches where the finger flesh will not really touch.  Cost $11, but feel this is quite worth. The original first Gundam model type, very nostalgic. Articulation is quite good too. Best of all is that there is no need for stickers.

Free gift with purchase of the EG RX-78-2 Gundam model kit. Very small and very cute. Am thinking of making a light stand to hold it. Maybe during November or December...

Transformers Kingdom Cyclonus ( Voyager ) WFC-K9

The best main-line Cyclonus toy Hasbro produced... Enough said...

Transformers Kingdom Blackarachnia ( Deluxe ) WFC-K5

Love the spider mode, that's why I bought it, just like Rattrap...

Transformers Studio Series 86 G1 Scourge - Face Cover Plate Minor Restore

Scourge's face is covered with a plate when in space craft mode, but somehow it is quite impossible to cover the face snugly so when all tabs are pegged in.  I tried to trim off the blue plastic part (both sides) shown in the first picture below, and now the face cover can fit in better. Should have file down a little more, but think this will be suffice.

The transformation video...

Transformers Studio Series 86 G1 Hot Rod - Paint Touch Up

Painted the weird yellow parts in car mode and the elbow joints to red... And weirdly, the ZIG Painty paint pen I used is a Burgundy colour... Nevertheless, it matches quite ok... I used a red marker to touch up the mushroom peg rim, as paint from the paint pen will get scratched off... Looks much better and more accurate to the show... Also painted the rear wheels rims silver to match the front wheels (the legs' exhaust pipes can be pried off gently and carefully)...

And the transformation video...

Transformers Kingdom Warpath - Paint Touch Up

Touch up the white parts of Kingdom Warpath, which looks really weird... the paint I used is Mr Hobby GX215 Metal Bloody Red. This is a metallic paint but is closest I have...

Left side of picture is painted, right side is not... Weird that they choose to use white plastic for the forearm to paint red, instead of the opposite...

Looks so much nicer!!!!
