Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of TFs (197) - Titans Return Octone a.k.a. Octane

Finally gotten him!!!! Did not purchase this Titans Return Octone (or rather, Octane) locally but through Taobao.com, as it is much cheaper even with shipping and agent fee... Cost approximately SGD40.50, which is way cheaper than the normal price of $56.99 in Toys R Us... Have also ordered a KO MP10 OP (normal size and colour) and a KO TLK Sqweeks normal-sized version (simply because his legit version is too expensive for this little toy, hahahaha)...

AS this is the China-sold version, it has an additional chinese instruction sheet...

... Oil tanker mode!!!! ... Is the better of his alt modes, in my own view...

Plane mode!!! Weird lump of parts at the rear of the jet... I believe the front grills (purplish and black square parts) are deliberately designed to be positioned there to resemble the G1 version...

And my usual way of transforming to plane mode... rear of plane looks a little less bulky than the official transformation...

Best mode - Robot mode!!! Yeap, I also prefer to transform him without the large shoulder pads and "rabbit ears", so as to be more G1-like...

And I find the fat gun to be ugly, so will just use this slimmer one, hahahahaha...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of TFs (196) - Takara AD-01 Optimus Prime

Had to get him as my KO version was damaged beyond repair after I took it out from display to transform it not long ago... And decided to spend a bit more to get the Takara version as the paint job is better especially the robot head... Costs approximately SGD39.90... from Taobao.com...

The painted tire rims are so nice!!!

Even the robot limbs are painted silver... Nice clicking sounds that came from the ratcheting joints which the KO version had mostly missing...

I had doubted the authenticity of this figure as mine came with no instructions and most critically, the spring flaps on the thighs are stuck while transforming to robot mode... Some shaving and chiselling eventually solved the issue but it leads me to wander if I got a bootleg version... Hahahahahahahaha....
