Update : KO Kabaya Assembled - Super Build Tiger

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!!!! Finish assembling my Kabaya Super Build Tiger!!!!!!!!!!! Indeed it is such a wonderful feeling after the completion, especially after all the hard work and frustration.... Trying to make the bots combine, no easy feat... Perhaps I could have use alternate mods but who care, so long as it can be combined!!!! Wahahaha.... so happy... When I saw the picture of the Kabaya Super Build Tiger on the Internet (bought and assembled by someone), I really wish I had one.. I thought it will be so fun to have a Kabaya combiner to assemble... and indeed it is fun!!! So now I have all 3 sizes of Super Build Tiger (Normal, Mini and this version, Micro)....

The Build Force in their vehicle mode, below....

(1) MacCrane
This was the 2nd last of the Build Force I assemble. I had to refer to the mini KO MacCrane for reference... In fact, I used all the mini KOs for reference while assembling every piece... Mods include cutting out the tip of the crane piece to make a hole so that the gun can be store inside, like the mini KO version. This means the spike ball will have to sacrificed to the box of missiles and etc, but I prefer the gun to be able to be stored when in vehicle mode... I included pictures of size comparison with my KO Build Force members for every member of the Kabaya version...

MacCrane in robot mode... Notice the 2 upper thighs. They are actually moulded together, but looks funny, so when I saw the original is not, I trim off a little to form the separated thighs...

(2) Power Joe
Power Joe was built 2nd. As mentioned in previous post, the head is being made swivelling, like the original one... The fist used to form Build Tiger is moulded wrongly. I check thru' the other pack, and only the right fists are moulded... luckily, it can be reverse without noticing....

Camera trick here: The feet are actually NOT touching the ground. The caterpillar tracks are moulded to fix too low, and I am too lazy to undo that, hahaha.... Dunno why too, since its just a simple mod... Heck, since the heels can provide the stability, good enough liao....

(3) Dumpson
Dumpson is the 1st member I assemble. I read from the forum that this fella is the one giving problem, so started off with it first... Indeed, all lot of work done... I had to slice off a little, near the front grill, to let the arms of MacCrane to fit in (when forming Build Tiger)... Inner of the grill connectors were trimmed off too... Put paddings on the shoulders to raise the shoulder height, then drill a hole in each to fit in the mounting pin in Super Build Tiger's feet...

Dumpson is the most stable of them 4. And 1 of the most original looking too...

(4) Drill Boy
Drill Boy is my last member to assemble, simply because I am eager to form Build Tiger... Hahaha... Its one tough one too... eg. the back (robot mode) has pins too big to hold the wings... have to make pins... Tiger head cannot be pushed in, need to shave off the lousy moulding... But finally done!!

Surprise! The flight mode is still able to work here! (Well, it has to, otherwise, it cannot form Super Build Tiger!)

Drill Boy in robot mode... Thank goodness the soccer ball drawing in the chest is gone..

BUILD TIGER
Formed by combining MacCrane, Power Joe and Dumpson... Pretty stable.. shaky though... the caterpillar tracks from Power Joe can't be attached to the legs, so I put them on the back instead... Thus, his left shoulder has to be a bit tilted... I can put it in the horizontally , well-aligned position, but it will clash with the back pack and then I cannot turn the arm.... Flaming Build Tiger!!!!!!!!!! (so glad that I got all 4 members of the same colour)...

SUPER BUILD TIGER
The form we have all been waiting for.... Drill Boy provides the feet power-up amour, the chest armour as well as the 2 wings...

Let the pictures do the talking....

Size comparison with the mini KO Super Build Tiger... Hmm... I will dig out my normal size KO Super Build Tiger to take the army of Build Force...
* EDIT: Comparison with original size KO Super Build Tiger...

Ahhh.... $1.50 per piece... $6 for a micro-sized Super Build Tiger is not exactly cheap, compared to the other WST G1 combiners... But it certainly is worth it... Cos:

(i) There is no official such size! You can never find it in the official toy line!
(ii) How to find an official Kabaya Kit for Build Force? Dun think it ever came up with it...
(iii) Relatively cheap, compared to most official toys...
(iv) Hours of grumbling, sweating, fingers-stick-with-super-glue, ... and FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hi, I think I bought these locally (in Singapore) a few years ago in a provisional shop or such, when they are still available, and they are hardly seen nowadays. These kits are the knock off versions. Visited your blog; awesome display of the Yuusha robots kits!!!!! =)
