Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of *Such* (130) - Star Wars Darth Maul Double-Bladed Lightsaber

Bought this at Toys R Us just now..cost $49.90... not sure why I bought this, but sure have fun playing "sword-fighting" with my nephew... It is fully collapsible and extends to slightly more than 5 feet long ( I measured and it is approximately 158cm long...)

No sound nor lights, but definitely a very realistic Darth Maul lightsaber... Saw some reviews on Youtube that it would be better if the blades are 4-sectioned (like the "Basic" lightsaber version) instead of this 3-sectioned... Anyway, highly recommended... Just ordered a "Force Action" lightsaber (Anakin) in Taobao... hope all my items transaction be smooth-sailing...

p.s. Just want to have a big SIGH here.... Cos I just saw the Mattel WWE Heavyweight belt selling in the Toys R Us, at a 20% discount, way chaper than I order from Mattel Shop (plus shipping)... sigh... Anyway, ordered many many stuff, including a KO Maketoys Battle Tanker set, hope everything goes smoothly...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of KOs (129) - KO KO Protectobots, KO (Combat) Hero Optimus Prime

Haul from TaoBao.com arrived yesterday night... Ordered the following and also ordered a set of the china-version Candy Box Ultraman Zero Eye, Spear & Bracelet set and a set of the china-version Candy Box mini Ultraman Mebius & Monster set... quite cheap...

KO KO Protectobots - Kabaya Style
Yeap, I regard this set is the Kabaya-styled (snap assembly) KO of the KO Protectobots, as they are not the real Kabaya Protectobots mold released... Think might need to do some mods to especially Hotspot (which needs 2 packs to form) to transform it into robot mode... Seller thrown in a KO Kabaya Planet transformer, but the smell was too... so threw it away... Price ~ $4.90 (all 6 packs)

KO (Combat) Hero Optimus Prime
Awesome figure! But needs a little trimming here and there, before he can transform properly... But he must be so war-torn that upon first transform, I broke his right arm... Nevermind, can be fixed... He has a yellow body though, which I intend to keep it that colour... The guns are modified (without the air-pump missile function now)... Price ~ $21.25

Edit: Took a picture of the KO (Combat) Hero Optimus Prime... after the arm (with the guns attached) is repaired...

Quite amazing posability, despite being a 1994 mold!

Hope my WWF IC Belt (Jakks Pacific) and WWE Heavyweight Belt (Mattel) reach vPost soon...

Edit: Yes, my Mattel belt has arrived in vPost US, now hope my other Jakks Pacific belt will reach soon...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of *Such* (128) - Jakks Pacific WWF Classic Winged Eagle Heavyweight Belt w/ Hulk Hogan

Yeah!!!! Finally it arrived!!!!! Bought it on amazon.com for a hefty price, almost reaching the SGD $100 mark... But don't care, this is my childhood dream championship belt... I remember I used to make a similar one using cardboard and gold reflective wrapping paper, and hunted for some thick fabric as the belt... so nostalgic... has also been watching the old WWF wrestling clips on Youtube, hence...

The main plate is simply amazing... it is without the "bling" found in then Spinner belt, yet it is "bling"-ing with S~T~Y~L~E... Winged eagle is so majestic... only complaint is the sponge belt is too ... well... ermm... "spongy"!!! The 2 side plates are just classical...

The Hulk Hogan figurine is surprisingly well-articulated, and the face is quite close to the person. The body is a bit too slim, however... Here's a size comparison of the Hulk Hogan figure with the typical Ultraman figurines... well actually this photo is taken with request from my little nephew... who now is the proud owner of the Hulk Hogan figurine, hahaha....
"Whatchu gonna do, brudder, when the Hulkamanic runs wild on you?!!! Rah!!!..."

Hope my Jakks Pacific WWF Classic Intercontinental Belt and Mattel's WWE Heavyweight Belt transactions go through smoothly...

Restoration - Customisation : KO Spinner Belt

Wanted to make my KO Spinner Belt (which I think is based on the Jakks Pacific version) more "bling", so went out and bought some fake jewel stickers, used for decorating the back of the handphones, to paste them... cut off most protruding "pop-outs" before placing the jewel-sticker on... For the edge jewels, I had to use super glue to reinforce, in case they dropped off...

Starting... Looks good...

Done! A comparison of the belt before "jeweling" (top) and after "jeweling" (bottom)... Oh, ignore the bronze colour, it should be more yellowish...

Photos are not able to bring out the "bling" and "shine" of the jewels...

...Actually I couldn't get even smaller jewels nor squarish ones, so the belt is not so accurate... nevertheless, am very pleased with the result... Will definitely look nice together with my soon-to-arrive Jakks Pacific Classic Winged Eagle Belt!... Hmmm... should also I get the Mattel's Heavyweight Belt??... Hmmm....

Restoration - KO Oversize Dinoking / Monstructor

A very quick showcase of the KO Oversize Dinoforce set that I have purchased from TaoBao.com long long time ago... Basically I have un-stickered and tighten the joints, as well as removing the fleshes of the plastic and repainting the face and eyes and etc... Not sure if this set is Dinoking or Monstructor, so will use the Dinoking configuration for the limbs in gestalt mode(as in the cartoon)... Do check out this Youtube review for a detailed review of this KO Dinoking... I believe is of the same mold...

Here's the KO Dinoforce in beast mode... The plastic feels like a in-between of the shampoo-bottle type an brittle type... some parts actually feel like shampoo-bottle type, but are not that flexible nor "oily"... Nevertheless, only my reliable Selleys Plastic Glue is able to glue/thicken this KO...

Here's the KO Dinoforce in robot mode... Transformation is a breeze. as they are originally very small-size which does not allow complex transformation, especially at that time...

Dinoking! While watching the Victory series, I was initially surprised that the leader of the Dinoforce (Icepick/Goryu) does not become the main torso but rather a limb of the gestalt... anyway, have gotten used to by now...

A comparison of KO Oversize Dinoking before and after un-stickering.... Cheesy stickers...

... more pictures of KO Oversize Dinoking...

...Back view of KO Oversize Dinoking... No hollowness (think micromaster combiners, e.g. Sixwing...)! Not bad...

..."Dinoking will destroy Road Caesar!"...

Oh shucks... forgotten to take the pictures of the individual robots with their rifles... nevermind, shall do tomorrow...

Edit: Picture of the KO Oversize Dinoforce with individual weapons...

Some modifications have to be done to the weapon handles before they are able to fit into the hands of their respective owners... and also added to pieces of polystyrene (colour to purple) to tighten the leg combination of the gestalt...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of TFs and Such (127) - KO Crossover Iron Man, KO Alternators Skids, KO TFTM Swindle, Generations Sky Shadow, Etc.

Gotten these from TaoBao.com just now... and more but no pics... including 2 KO G1 Breakdown ($12.40 for 2) to re-colour to form a more complete Menasor, and 1 MIB Ultra Seven ($16.80)...

KO Crossover Iron Man
Bought with the intent of repainting and weaponizing it to become... you've guessed it, War Machine! $10.30

KO TFTM Swindle
... or Camshaft, which I will be calling him that, to avoid confusion with my G1 Swindle... It actually seems more like a bootleg instead... $10.10

KO Alternators Skids
... or Broadblast, which I will be calling him that, to avoid confusion with my G1 Skids... It actually seems more like a bootleg instead... $15.30

Generations Sky Shadow
Yeah! Gotten this authentic dark gangster from space... amazed by what a change of colour scheme can do (wonders) to a TF... $24.60

Also gotten this mini Father Ultraman at $6.45... Already given the Ultra Seven to my little nephew, and boy, he is sooo happy... Intend to give him this on Sunday...

... looking forward to my Jakks Pacific Classic WWF Winged Eagle Belt... Pity failed twice to get a Jakks Pacific Classic Intercontinental Belt...
