Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of TFs (194) - Titans Return Alpha Trion

Gotten this from Metro at a very good price of SGD 25 only...


I like this way of transforming him in robot mode, where the 2 front beast limbs are folded to the back, making him look "slimmer", hahahaha.... Oh, have since kept the "spaceship-gun" thing as it really looks out of place for my preference...



Beast mode is a bit weird and looks good only when viewed from the side... and the purple unpainted eyes are hidden in the face, so decided to dismantle the head-halves and repaint the eyes to orange using a paint-pen... looks so much better...



And don't quite like the spaceship-carrier-whatsoever mode... so decide to configure this mode to include wing-like parts, and make it look like a jet-ish vehicle... A few configurations came into mind, and I posted some of these that I played and like...

Gotten him to add to my collection of Optimus Primes / Optimuses Prime / whatever, hahahaha... Very nice little piece of OP, wonder why I did not get him last time... Costs approximately SGD 9.60 ...








Titans Return Bumblebee
Gotten this because of the head sculpt which is very close to the G1 cartoon version... yeap, only that reason... next on the to-buy-list for Minibots will be TR Cosmos... Costs approximately SGD 10.60 ...

The Last Knight ( TLK ) Voyager Optimus Prime
Box is weird.. as in the plastic edges of the packaging are mostly unfolded... anyway, does not bother me much... Costs approximately SGD 36.40 ...


Robot mode of TLK Optimus Prime.... Very neat and relatively compact backpack... Nice...



Truck mode... realized the wheels are unpainted, so...


... painted the wheels' inner to silver! Nice...

And finally also assembled the KBB Waveblaster set... Did not assemble the big gun set though, as I have no use of it, yet... Also, I cut off a bit of the plastic sprue to glue to the inner sides of the body to prevent the tabbing pieces from going in too deep and not able to flip out for gun mode...


Gun mode!!!! Looks decent, though I don't like the short handle (I know that was meant for the Warbotron 'Bruticus' to hold in the first place) and overly long barrel (no transformation on the thighs at all to shorten the gun barrel)... anyway...




Robot mode... The thigh swivel joints are improved as compared to the Warbotron legit version, as they pegged in (mushroom peg) nicely with sufficient friction...




Nice companions... but not for long... as Megs will be going over to my office as display...

Assembled!!! Took a day to do it... Not difficult, but I was a bit nitpicky and wanted to trim off the flesh of the sprue when plucked off, so that took up some time... Anyway, quite fun... Here's the robot mode... The grey is a bit too dark for my liking (picture captures the grey to be lighter than in real life), but it is what is is... Placed a small Decepticon sticker on his chest too...

And both KO versions of the GT Tyrant (Pocket) that I have, different sizes... I still like this version of G1-ish Megatron due to 2 reasons: (1) Ease of transformation (2) Good enough aesthetics in both robot and gun mode...

Titans Return Seaspray
Awesome little figure! Is a good improvement to the G1 toy yet retain many important aspects of the G1 character... Costs approximately SGD 12.05 ....


Titans Return Brawn
Now this is Brawn, hahahaha... Costs approximately SGD 9.85 ... Simple transformation is the best... The flipped out heel spurs are essential to let the figure stand up...


MBD KO Oversized Optimus Prime
Gotten it to display in my office... Hope it makes a good companion to the KBB Waltheatron which I hope to assemble soon... Costs approximately SGD 4.80 ....


MMech Fans Toys MF-08 Ultrl Magenus
Not sure if this is oversized, but it is larger than what I expected! This is "borrowed" from the Iron Factory City Commander mold, with some minor changes e.g. wheel-rims. I had since kept the hammer thing as I am not into IDW area... Costs approximately SGD 15.80 ....

This should be from the Warbotron X-Ray and Gun set... Hope this turns out good! Hope to assemble it soon too!!! Costs approximately SGD 12.25 ....
