Because my KO TFC Hercules is on its way to here, I had to quicken the pace to fix up this Star Cats Dino Combiner... I think... Because my Dino Combiner is the 2nd (improved) version, not much fixes need to be done... Majority of this fixes are still tightening loose joints: using super glue to either thicken pegs or reduce holes for pegs/pins... I always cannot stand the small "Grimlock" head in gestalt mode, so a new head is given to him...
This head is from a old KO Abominus... To better distinguish this from Abominus, I cut off the antennas...
The back of the gestalt head is cut off too, as Star Cats "Grimlock" head is really too big... meaning the gestalt head has to be hollowed out inside... A small indent is also cut to fit in 1 small extruding part at the back of "Grimlock" head...
And lastly, 2 sides are attached with pieces to prevent the gestalt head from falling out to the front... All that is left is the painting...
Next, all legs matters... The big gestalt feet for the long neck dino has pegs that are too short and the diameter of the pegs are also too small. This makes the feet super wobbly... So I extended the pegs and thicken the diameter of the pegs with superglue... Let it dry, let it dry...
Just a gentle reminder when transforming the long neck dino to robot mode, the dino legs can be folded in and dino feet PEGGED in the inner sides of the lower legs...
... same for the stego dino... These configurations give them much better stability in standing as they are quite back-heavy in robot mode...
Ok, finally all done! And here's the "new" Dino Combiner... Looking good... Although I tried to tighten up most joints especially those needed to balance in gestalt mode, but in the end I realised that this getalt is still quite floppy, due to its massive weight in gestalt mode... Anyway, it is already much better when I first got it...
Looks good with the massive weapon... Will leave the tails-combination mode (if it is to happen) in the future... Hopefully...
