Transformers G1 Hot Rod ( Walmart Reissue)

Bought this from Taobao, not sure why and forgotten how much. This is supposedly the Walmart Reissue version with the Engine hole and robot fists holes bigger to hold the G1 targetmasters' handles. Did not put up stickers as I don't quite like too many stickers on TFs, but may proceed to put a few later, maybe... Very nostalgic feel when transforming, and fulfills 1 of my wishes that I cannot afford to buy one in my childhood days... Simple transformation and quite fun... Since I have a spare targetmaster from the MFT Flame Commander, I thought I may as well modified it a little to let this G1 Hot Rod be able to use. Am still waiting for MS Legends Optimus and the 6 jets from Newage to arrive... hope they come soon...

Cut out a strip of about 4~5mm tissue paper, and coil it around the handle using superglue, with some testing and trimming, of course...

And compare with Classics Hot Rod...

Cleaning Up : Transformers Siege Astrotrain

Cleaned up the rust on Astrotrain using mini alcohol pads that contained about 70% alcohol... Also did that for the jet nosecone of Apeface. But then realized the pad-painted / tampograpgh paint is super hard to rub off, hence decided to stop.. Hopefully can find ome easier methods in future to remove the "rust-paint" from the Siege TFs...

Restoration : Knockoff KO Simplified Oversized Iron Factory IF Ex-13 Blizzard Transformers Blitzwing

Not complete nor good articulations but ... at least a quite decent official jet mode... This toy uses a type of hard plastic is similar to the Pocket Toys seekers and CBB Hai Zhi Xing Combiner Wars Combaticons... which my normal superglue thickening to tighten loose joints will get worn off quickly... Decided to use hot glue for these toys, hopefully will last longer... Not sure if I want to restore the mini Doubledealers... as not in the best of mood now... the uncertainty situation is stressing me out, have to prepare mentally for sudden outburst / re-planning of workloads these few days...

Edit: Did some minor restorations eg. uniformed the colours and tightened the joints with hot glue, drill hole on bird's back for bottom-most wing to peg flat, sliced off wing peg to be thinner.... The slightly more major restoration is breaking up the missile into 2, like the original one. Decided to use magnets to join.
