Update: Cattoys Robot Masters Victory Saber - Touching Up

And yeap, took a day (today) to touch up my Cattoys RM Victory Saber Set... Not sure if this set is a QC-reject, but this Cattoys RM Victory Saber is quite bad... lots of sprue leftovers not cleaned, terrible paint-job, 2 halves of parts are misaligned, etc... only good thing are some joints are tight enough... anyway, am glad that this is finally done... Kept some of the arsenal that this set came with, and not use them for display...


Here's all 3 components in their alternate modes...


Saber, in his jet mode...

And here is Victory Leo in his primary alternate mode (winged-lion mode)...


And not forgetting his vehicle / flight mode... which has no official transformation in this Robot Masters series...


... and their combined jet mode... super nice... reminds me of the Decepticon Powermaster brothers...



Next, their robot modes... Saber in his robot mode... Cute little fella, hahahaha....


And after (manual) drilling a hole at each of the "feet" of Saber, Saber can be securely pegged into the 2 little dowels and stand on V-Star, just like in the cartoon!


Star Saber!!!! ... The ball joint at the hip as broken, and had to replace with the old KO version, with much sawing, filing, trimming, etc...

I know it is not painted nicely... very rough surface, but sigh... what to do... can't find metallic spray paint, nor does this paint stick well to the plastic... anyway, next TF to work on... probably will be the Cattoys RM Star Saber and Victory Leo set, which I am having problems transforming the combiner feet...

I probably may also not reply to comments that are asking questions that are already answered in the posts, or random personal questions... I think while it is good to exchange thoughts, it probably will be good if one can read up first...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of KO (175) - KO MP16 Buzzsaw and Frenzy Set

Collected my haul ordered from Taobao.com yesterday night.... and 1 of the item is a KO MP16 set! Costs about SGD18.25.. Gotten it mainly because I want to place Buzzsaw landing on Megatron's (Apollyon's) arm, hahahahahahahahahaha....

Update: The 7 Modes of (KO) G1 Sixshot...

Decided to fix up a little more of the new KO G1 Sixshot I bought, and also take some pictures of the various modes...

Here's all my Sixshots... 4 in total... Don't miss out the smallest one standing at the bottom , it is my KO Kabaya Sixshot...


So will show the modes according to Sixshot's 1st apprearance in the G1 cartoon... First up (or 2nd rather), the tank mode... pardon me if I got the modes' names wrong... Opps, sorry, forget to flip up the little canopy (which happen to be the lower jaw of the beast head)...


Beast mode... Hmmm.... looks good...


Amoured carrier mode... or car mode, in short...


Jet mode... the 2nd best mode to me (1st being the robot mode)...


Gun or pistol mode... I watched the cartoon part where Sixshot first transformed into gun mode (held by Cyclonus) and saw the back of the gun has wheels....


... and got this configuration for gun mode while playing around with it (the robot arms are now closer to the barrel)...


And the last 7th mode (exclusive to the Headmaster cartoon series), the Wingwolf mode!!!!! Weird... hahahahaha....

Overall, very satisfied with my new purchase, though now I am very careful in purchasing TFs, as my display cabinets are very very full now... Am thinking of removing the Leader class movie Starscream to make way for KO God Max (if I impulsively decide to buy it one day)...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of KO and Such (174) - Bootleg G1 Sixshot (金宝), Kabaya Fighbird (The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird 太陽の勇者ファイバード )

Collected my purchase from Taobao.com last night...

Bootleg G1 Sixshot
This is the newest version in China, from the company that makes 1 of the KO version of TFC Hercules, called Jin Bao (金宝). The colours tried to follow the original G1 Sixshot colours, making it a cheap alternate place filler for those who miss out on the Hasbro/Takara reissues. I bought this mainly to replace my lousier KO Sixshot. The materials used is quite good, not those brittle type, and even silver chrome on 1 side of the wing attacher. It is almost similar in quality to my other KO Sixshot in orange and red colours, except that this bootleg has no ratcheting joints. However, it makes up with quite/sufficiently tight enough joints. As with other KOs, some tightening, shaving and tweaking are needed... Costs about $19.65 $20.05 (after re-calculation) ... in SGD...


Back of the box has the instructions cramped into it!!!!!... The "Horsemen"... hahahahaha.....


1 good improvement is that the company puts back these little peg-holes (missing in both versions of my KO Sixshot) in the inside of the legs to hold the 2 big rifles....


... to allow for an alternate configuration for gun mode....



Kabaya Fighbird
Hope they come up with a Granbird to combine with this little fella!!!!! Hahahahaha.... Cost about $17.25, tentatively, as I just wrote to my agent to inform them of the oversize shipping box, to get back the excess shipping fee... Not assembled yet, will do it later or when feel like it...
