Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of KOs and Such (162) - Star Cats Dino Combiner, KO Undersize AOE 1st Edition Optimus Prime

Collected the Taobao.com haul from 65daigou's new warehouse in Tampines yesteraday... Had a vry very unpleasant experience, but let's not complain here... Finally it's TF time!!!!!!!!!

Star Cats Dino Combiner
The "dinobots" have combined! This company has 1 step ahead of the 3rd party dunno-whatever-company version... hahaha... Rumoured that TFC was sort of involved in the design of this set, but I felt it still has some simplistic style due to the cartoon series is ... kids oriented... But hey, it is a combiner!!!!!!!!! Cost about $69.20... Pics don't do them justice, as they look much nicer physically...

KO Undersize AOE 1st Edition Optimus Prime
Shrunken only slightly, I think... Not as small as I wanted to have, but, will do... the 'backpack' and leg have been simplified but it has not compromised any aesthetics, in fact, the legs seemed to be able to support the body better... There are a lot of different variants of this AOE 1st Edition OP in Taobao.com, so buyers beware, check before buying... Please don't ask me how many versions there are in Taobao... Nice packaging... Plastic quality is not so good, a bit flimsy and this make transforming a bit worrying especially the thin parts and small joints... Definitely needs some trimming and such... Cost about $14.75... Did not play with this for long, will do that next time... but the head cannot turn...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of TF(161) - IDW Amada Starscream

Went to the 18th Craziest Toys Sale in Takashimaya this morning... It is ... sigh... disappointing... Anyway, after payement, I redeem a $10 voucher and decided to use it on the spot. When I went up to 4th floor, I searched and searched and searched... only to find this little fella that I am willing to pay money for... IDW Armada Starscream!!!!!

Actually I like this mold is because I used to have a KO Armada Skywarp. But after a long time, it was damaged and became to troublesome to repair and I have to throw it away. So when I saw this TF, I felt very much to buy it but hesitant due to the lack of display space. So today, with a $10 voucher, I finally throw in the towel and bought it, paying an additional $19.90 only... Nice...

Now waiting for my Semi-TFC Dino Combiners to reach shore safely...

Update - Kabaya Might Gaine and Kabaya Silverion

Assembled the 2 Kabaya Brave series (Wave 2) kits... and it took a LOOOOOOONG time... First up, Silverion...

Silverion members in robot and vehicle mode...Stickers are not applied initially to see how the robot(s) look... Looks good...Though some stickers should do the individual members cosmetic up-leveling...

Ready to combine..."Phase 1!"... wait, sorry, wrong command...

Silverion (un-stickered)... Actually this kind of fits in better with the name's theme: silver... The grey plastic looks more greyish-silver in real than in picture... Maybe Micheal Bay's version of Yuusha's robots (if he decides to shoot one) will look like this... hahahaha....

After putting on the stickers... in the end has to also use super glue to join up some parts securely and tighten some loose joints...

Next is Might Gaine... This little bugger took me the most time... Because of the stupid neck-peg that broke.... damn... Pics of the 3 trains...

Amazingly, the small white train can transform into a robot with no parts-forming! Kudos to Kabaya for this design... The green-grey train does need to pul out the wings and reattach for transformation though, but this is minor... I might have gotten the train-jet configuration wrong but I like it better this way...

... combined to form Might Gaine!!!!! Quite nice little fellow... just that the head-neck...sigh, let's just forget that...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of Transformers and Such (160) - Evolution 2-Pack Grimlock (Toys R Us Exclusive)

Bought this set at Toys R Us...Impulsive buy... I thought the "classical" Grimlock is a new mold... but later then found out it is the Energon mold... Anyway, grown to like it already... Hahaha... The AOE version is quite fun and simple to transform for a Voyager class figure... Can't remember the actual price; think is $79.95 or something... anyway, got $40 voucher...

Also bought some other stuff for my little niece...

Side-Tracked: Recent Haul of Transforming Robots (159) - Kabaya Brave (Yuusha) Wave 2: Might Gaine and Silverion

Purchased these cute little kits at CSC the past Sunday... At $15 for both, I think they are quite worth it... Have not assembled though... but judging by my busy schedule these weeks, I am not sure when I can start building... Only bought the Might Gaine and Silverion, as they are sold as a set... not sure why I did not hunt down the other one... Anyway...

Nice boxart...

The back of the boxes... Hey, the small train transforms into a robot!!! Hahaha... I seriously don't know much about Brave (Yuusha) series...

One side of the box showing the robots in this wave...

... while the other has the story/background information about the particular robot... can't read Japanese...

Here's the kits, unassembled... Will try to do that and post... if I can...

Hi all KO lovers and such, I will be renting 1 of the place in this coming Sunday's (9 Feb) Bedok CC flea market to cheap sell some of the KO TFs and loose TFs, as well as some other stuff. Probably will post some pics later if time allows... Sad to part with these TFs, but no choice, space is limited, sigh... I should be there by 9am to set up the place. See ya!
